Coconut water brand Zico has introduced what it says is the world’s first chocolate-flavored coconut water. The new beverage became available in New York this April and will launch nationwide this summer.
The company says its coconut water helps consumers stay hydrated and provided with electrolytes-without extra cholesterol, calories, and sugar. The beverage features a blend of coconut water, coconut cream, cocoa, and vanilla. The chocolate flavor is 110 cal/14 oz bottle, and the company says it has 32% less sugar than many competing fruit-flavored coconut waters.
Zico Chocolate is also said to offer 20% more potassium than other Zico flavors currently on the market and is a good source of iron and magnesium.
