More than 70% of 374 diabetes educators surveyed at the American Association of Diabetes Educators annual meeting said they would recommend Zychrome, a “next generation” chromium ingredient from InterHealth Nutraceuticals (Benicia, CA), over chromium picolinate, for people with type 2 diabetes, InterHealth reports.
Survey respondents were first presented with the preliminary results of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study comparing Zychrome to chromium picolinate for insulin management. Study results showed that Zychrome improved insulin function and impacted insulin levels by 30% compared to baseline.
Recent review states that pentadecanoic acid may support cellular stability for better longevity
