Cargill says the acquisition merges its expertise in compound feed, supply chain, and risk management with Provimi’s nutritional expertise, technology, and portfolio of premixes, additives, and ingredients.
Cargill completed its acquisition of global animal nutrition company Provimi in late November, for a price of $2.1 billion. Cargill says the acquisition merges its expertise in compound feed, supply chain, and risk management with Provimi’s nutritional expertise, technology, and portfolio of premixes, additives, and ingredients.
“Bringing together the talents and expertise of our two organizations creates a global leader in animal nutrition that will enable use to have a broader market reach and an even better product and service capability,” said Joe Stone, Cargill’s animal nutrition business leader, in a press statement. “Along with our access to a global supply chain and an enhanced technology base, we will be able to improve the delivery of innovative animal nutrition solutions to our customers.”
