Burcon’s Peazazz Pea Protein Isolate Open for Commercialization

“We will explore a variety of partnering opportunities for commercialization of this exciting product."

Burcon (Vancouver, British Columbia) says that although it had been in discussions with a potential partner to commercialize Burcon’s Peazazz pea protein ingredient, the period of exclusivity with that partner has now lapsed and Burcon “will consider various routes to market.”

Peazazz is described as a uniquely soluble and clean-tasting pea protein isolate. Burcon says that it is 100% soluble, transparent, and heat stable in low pH solutions.

“We will explore a variety of partnering opportunities for commercialization of this exciting product,” said the company’s president and chief operation officer Johann F. Tergesen.
