BASF has increased the price on human and animal-grade calcium D-pantothenate (vitamin B5) by $2 per kilogram, citing increased raw material costs occurring in 2011.

The price change is effective immediately or as existing contracts allow.

BASF claims to be the world-leading supplier of calcium D-pantothenate.
