BASF Partners with Algae Firm

The partnership provides BASF with access to more algae biomass, which it can then process for beverages and dietary supplements.

BASF (Ludwigshafen, Germany) announced a new algae ingredients partnership with the marine aquaculture firm National Prawn Co., located in Western Saudi Arabia.

National Prawn Company says its location in Saudi Arabia provides ideal, yearlong, non-climate-changing weather conditions ideal for growing seawater algae.

The partnership provides BASF with access to more algae biomass, which it can then process for beverages and dietary supplements.
