Amacari superfruit supplement boasts rich antioxidant properties.
Camu camu, the berry of a bush grown primarily in the Amazonian River Basin of Brazil, has achieved superfruit status thanks to its high natural source of vitamin C (about 30 to 50 times that of an orange). Amazon Origins (Naples, FL) recently launched its own branded supplement form of camu camu called Amacari, which is comprised of only sustainably harvested, wild-crafted berries.
According to the company, studies on camu camu have underscored its ability to protect cells against oxidation, inflammation, and UV damage, while stimulating the anti-aging gene SIRT1.
