
AHPA to Form Tea Products Committee
The organization's board of trustees has voted in favor of creating a tea products committee to promote responsible marketing of herbal products marketed as teas.
The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA; Silver Spring, MD) board of trustees has voted in favor of creating a tea products committee to promote responsible marketing of herbal products marketed as teas. The tea products committee will focus on regulatory issues relating to tea products and ingredients; creating standards for manufacturing, labeling, and marketing of tea products; and developing relationships with other organizations invested in tea products and ingredients.
Wilson Lau, AHPA trustee and vice president of sales and marketing at nuherbs Co. (Oakland, CA), will chair the new committee.
