American Ingredients Adds Pomegranate Extract to Lineup

American Ingredients Inc. (Anaheim, CA), a division of Pharmachem Laboratories Inc., is now the exclusive U.S. distributor for Pomanox, a certified-organic pomegranate extract from Spain-based firm Probeltebio.

Pomanox is manufactured using a patented, “ultrapure” water-extraction process, without the use of any organic solvents, said American Ingredients. In addition to be organic certified, Pomanox is also kosher and halal certified.

The ingredient is standardized for punicalagins, the antioxidants in pomegranate said to neutralize free radicals responsible for cellular oxidation. The company said that Pomanox’s benefits have been demonstrated in human clinical tests.
