At this year’s SupplySide West, Lonza will showcase its newest branded ingredients: DHAid and the Memree product line. A purely vegetarian source of omega-3 DHA, DHAid is made from naturally occurring microalgae. DHAid’s health benefits include supporting brain development and function, as well as heart and eye health. The Memree brand covers a line of products containing high quality, soy-based phosphatidylserine (PS). PS is an important structural component of cell membranes and is found in concentrated amounts in brain cells. Products in the Memree line include MemreePS for cognitive health and MemreePlus for cognitive health and reduction of cortisol levels. Cortisol is a hormone associated with stress and exercise recovery applications.
