Rousselot, a Darling Ingredients (Irvine, TX) brand, has announced the launch of Nextida, a platform of specific collagen peptide compositions for targeted health benefits. The company states that it will be doing comprehensive testing and validation as well as conducting clinical studies to evaluate the efficacy of these compositions. The first of the Nextida compositions Rousselot is commercializing is Nextida.GC, which is designed to reduce post meal sugar spikes. Results of scientific research demonstrating the glucose metabolism benefits of the composition will be unveiled at the upcoming SupplySide West in Las Vegas, NV, taking place October 28-31, 2024.

“After years of cutting-edge research into the collagen molecule, Rousselot is proud to launch Nextida, offering new health benefits beyond those traditionally attributed to collagen peptides. Nextida’s strength and innovation is to act where it matters,” said Jeroen Colpaert, executive vice president of Rousselot, in a press release.

"This new product marks the beginning of a long series of innovations, building on Rousselot's unique scientific and production excellence,” Colpaert added. "We are incredibly excited to open new market opportunities with Nextida and to further empower customers who are looking for natural health and wellness products."
