PromOat Oat Beta-Glucan Sees First U.S. Launch in Fruit Smoothies
The product touts a cholesterol claim.
Beverage brand Oatworks has become the first company to launch a U.S. product line cobranded with PromOat, an oat beta-glucan ingredient from Swedish supplier Biovelop.
The new line of oat-and-fruit smoothies-in such flavors as mango/peach, pomegranate/blueberry, and strawberry/banana-allow consumers to enjoy the benefits of oatmeal while on the go, including benefits such as satiety and energy.
Moreover, products featuring PromOat can also bear the FDA heart health claim for cholesterol reduction. Biovelop derives PromOat from Swedish oats using patented technology.
