Ingredients supplier Nutriventia Ltd. (Mumbai, India) says its branded turmeric ingredient TurmXtra is now patented in the U.S. and the UK. The patents cover the ingredient’s rapid dissolution profile and optimized bioavailability.
“We are very proud to receive the patents for TurmXtra in our two leading markets, the U.S. and the UK,” said Rajat Shah, cofounder and executive director, Nutriventia, in a press release.
Unlike other enhanced-bioavailability curcumin ingredients that utilize surfactants, oils, or bioactive absorption enhancers, Shah said that “TurmXtra stands out from these products because of its optimized low-dose formulation using natural-source carriers and use of a simple and cost-effective, solvent-free process.” TurmXtra is certified by the Clean Label Project.
