NutriScience Debuts Tea-Origin Caffeine

InnovaTea Natural Caffeine 95% is formulated for use in foods and beverages.

NutriScience Innovations LLC (Trumbull, CT) has introduced a natural caffeine ingredient from green tea leaves. The ingredient may serve as a clean-label alternative to chemically synthesized caffeine.

InnovaTea is a light brown powder extract from dried and unfermented Camellia sinensis leaves. The ingredient is water-soluble, suitable for beverages and functional foods, and standardized to a minimum of 95% caffeine content. InnovaTea is slightly bitter in taste.

The company says its green tea production process is fully traceable from farm to factory. Pesticides are not used in the harvest.
