Lonza Capsules and Health Ingredients has announced the launch of AromatiQ technology, which is an aroma capsule coating technology. Lonza explains that the technology utilizes naturally-derived essential oils such as peppermint and orange to create a multi-sensory supplement experience for consumers.
According to research from Lonza, 70% of consumers would pay more for a more enjoyable and memorable supplement experience. The company portfolio of essential oils and aroma coatings can be matched to intended health benefits. Citrus essential oils would be a good match for mood support supplements, for example, while peppermint is more associated with focus and vitality. The aromatic coating also help mask strong-smelling ingredients such as ashwagandha and valerian root, Lonza explains.
To learn more about AromatiQ, Lonza will be at Vitafoods Europe 2024 at booth #G90.
