"Cardio Peak" features hawthorn extract and arjuna bark extract.
Life Extension (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) has unveiled Cardio Peak, its latest cardiovascular dietary supplement. This one features hawthorn extract (Crataegus monogyna and Crataegus laevigata) and a standardized arjuna bark extract (Terminalia arjuna) from Verdure Sciences Inc. (Noblesville, IN).
Life Extension is promoting the two ingredients as “dual cardiotonic support”:
Hawthorn contains specific bioflavonoid complexes that may help promote normal circulation and efficient heart muscle function. Traditionally used for cardiovascular health, arjuna extract compliments the effects of hawthorn in support of enhanced heart function.
A deeper explanation of the potential heart benefits-including supporting studies on each ingredient-is available on the product web page. Cardio Peak is now sold in units of 120 vegetarian capsules for an initial retail price of $36.
