The new Wellmune Adapt ingredient blends branded ingredients Wellmune beta-glucan and Sensoril ashwagandha root and leaf extract, plus vitamin C.
Kerry (Tralee, Ireland) has launched a new ingredient called Wellmune Adapt, aimed at supporting immune health and stress. The two-in-one ingredient blends the branded Wellmune yeast beta-glucan immune-health ingredient and Sensoril ashwagandha root and leaf extract, plus vitamin C, which the company says also supports immunity, stress, and sleep.
The company points to the solid research behind these branded ingredients. “Wellmune Adapt is designed to offer multiple benefits, supporting the immune system while also tackling the stress factors that can undermine it,” the company’s press release states. “Its hero ingredients are both backed by a wealth of high-quality science.” These include more than a dozen clinical studies showing that Wellmune baker’s yeast beta-1,3/1,6-glucan can support general immune health. Meanwhile, Sensoril comes with 16 clinical studies showing benefits for stress reduction, sleep, mood, energy, and focus.
“Immune health and stress are intimately intertwined—when we’re stressed or sleeping poorly, our natural defenses suffer,” added Niamh Hunt, senior global marketing manager, Kerry Taste and Nutrition, in a press release. “Wellmune Adapt is designed to support immune health both directly, with Wellmune and vitamin C, and indirectly, by helping the body adapt to stress.”
