HIE Awards DSM’s Heart-Health Ingredient

DSM Nutritional Products’ (Parsippany, NJ) Fruitflow ingredient was awarded best heart-health innovation at Health Ingredients Europe in November.

According to the company, Fruitflow helps maintain healthy blood flow by keeping platelets smooth and reducing platelet aggregation. Published studies have shown Fruitflow to reduce platelet aggregation in 97% of individuals within 1.5 hours of consumption.

In addition, Fruitflow is the only ingredient to date with an approved Article 13.5 health claim from the European Food Safety Authority.
