TriNutra has announced structure-function health claims granted by Health Canada for its proprietary black seed oil, called ThymoQuin, when taken as an oral supplement. According to the company, the product license allows product manufacturers to make specific recommendations based on scientific data presented to Health Canada. These include:

  • Help support healthy liver function
  • Help support cardiovascular health
  • Help support healthy glucose levels
  • Help support stress relief
  • Help moderate general feeling of stress
  • Help support healthy gut microbiota

“It comes with great pleasure to announce that our patented black seed oil now has the backing of these structure-function claims for Canadian brand manufacturers,” said Morris Zelkah, CEO of TriNutra, in a press release. “We are continually pushing for natural product education and ingredient differentiation through our unique growing conditions, proprietary processing, and ongoing research to ensure a more potent, stable, bioavailable, and efficacious product for the end consumer.”

TriNutra also recently announced a U.S. patent for the unique composition of its black seed oil. TriNutra black seed oil is standardized to 3% thymoquinone, and does not exceed 1.25% free fatty acid.
