GNT (Dallas, NC) will demonstrate the range of its Exberry plant-based colors with a sundae bar at the 2023 IFT FIRST Food Expo taking place in Chicago on July 16-19, 2023, booth S0448. Exberry colors are derived from edible fruit, vegetables, and plants, and they are made using gentle physical processing methods like chopping, boiling, and filtering. Colors are available in more than 400 shades and are suited for a vast range of food and drinks, including confectionery, dairy and bakery, soft drink and alcoholic, and savory products.
At IFT FIRST, GNT will host a build-your-own sundae bar featuring Exberry colors, including in an orange creamsicle–inspired ice cream, a cherry-flavored plant-based ice cream, and in toppings like pink whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, cookie crumbles, gummies, and fruit sauce.
Also at the show, the company will launch its Exberry shade Vivid Orange–OS, which is an oil-soluble color made from paprika that lends a vibrant orange hue. It is suited for fat-based sweet and savory applications as well as seasoning mixes.
“Exberry enables brands to deliver eye-catching shades while meeting the growing demand for ingredients that feel authentic, transparent, and familiar,” said Jeannette O’Brien, vice president of GNT USA, in a press release. “The sundae bar tasting experience shows how plant-based colors can be used alongside different flavors, textures, and temperatures to create innovative products with clean labels.”
