Gnosis by Lesaffre (Desio, Italy) has released a new “science UP” scientific update for Quatrefolic, titled “The Right Folate in Healthy Pregnancy” and a new brochure explaining the benefits of its ingredient Phosphocomplex. These are both available upon request at https://gnosisbylesaffre.com/#subscribe.

According to Gnosis, as a biologically active folate (5-MTHF) that does not require metabolism of the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) enzyme, Quatrefolic can play an important role in human growth and development during pregnancy because it is ready to enter human metabolism and can normalize homocysteine plasma levels. The new science Up leaflet is focused on the role of polymorphism of the critical enzyme in pregnancy issues.

Phosphocomplex is a synergistic complex of Silybin and phosphatidylcholine with improved bioavailability that supports liver health. Silybin is the most abundant and potent active flavolignan in milk thistle plant (Silybum marianum) seeds that is well known and studied for its hepatoprotective activities. These benefits are attributed to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Phosphatidylcholine helps Silybin cross the lipid-rich biomembranes of gatrointestinal mucosa and reach circulation.
