The cranberry processor has new conventional and organic cranberry products.
Cranberry supplier Fruit d’Or (Villeroy, QC, Canada) has introduced two new cranberry ingredients for the nutraceutical, food, and beverage spaces. Both ingredients are marketed as whole-cranberry ingredients, which may be distinguished from other products that simply target key compounds in the berry.
Cran d’Or is a conventional cranberry ingredient containing cold-pressed cranberry seed oil, juice from cranberry skin, and protein from cranberry seeds. Cran Naturelle is an organic form of the same cranberry components: seed oil, protein, and skin juice. Both ingredients are available as protein powder, fruit powder, tea powder, extract powder, or seed oil.
While Fruit d’Or is marketing its latest ingredients as whole-food ingredients, the company says its customers can still benefit from what are highly standardized ingredients. Both ingredients are marketed with a guarantee of at least 50 mg of proanthocyanidins (PACs) per serving, and the company’s BIO PAC technology provides a 24-hour time release within the body.
Fruit d’Or’s new cranberry ingredients come in a rich burgundy color and are free of excipients and carriers.
For customers interested in a unique cranberry oral health ingredient, Fruit d’Or has collaborated with Tab Labs Inc. to develop chewing gum prototypes with its Oral Cran ingredient. Concept gums are sweetened with xylitol and available in pomegranate and raspberry flavors.
