Finzelberg (Andernach, Germany), producer of more than 80 botanical extracts for pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements, announced in an August 2, 2024 news release its new ingredient, CONCENTAL. Designed for supporting brain health, the non-stimulant ingredient helps cerebral blood flow and affects serotonin, noradrenaline, and dopamine. The presence of phenolic acids found in Sideritis plant species contribute to the potential positive cognitive effects of CONCENTAL.
These effects are reportedly supported by Finzelberg’s pre-clinical research. “From our proprietary clinical trial data we can see significant beneficial effects on the ability to process information while increasing mental flexibility and memory,” explains Dr. René Roth-Ehrang, Member of the Management Board Development and Quality at Finzelberg, in the news release.
CONCENTAL can be used in various formats – capsules, gummies, powders, and more – and as either a standalone ingredient or added to product formulas. It is also designed for various age groups, for coping with everyday stressors, protecting cognition in older adults, or enhancing mental acuity for athletes.
Finzelberg will be present at the upcoming Vitafoods Asia and SupplySide West tradeshows.
