Dean Foods Launches Functional Soy Products
Dean Foods (Dallas) has announced the launch of two new soy products through its Alpro Plus lines, according to Australian Food News.

A soy and calcium product intended to help fortify bones and a soy and plant sterol product intended to lower cholesterol will be launched internationally in 2011. The announcements came at the SIAL food industry exhibition held in Paris on Sunday.
Dean Foods (Dallas) acquired Alpro Soya, a developer of soy-based foods and beverages, from Vandemoortele N.V. (Sas van Gent, Netherlands) in June 2009.
