The CRN Foundation has relaunched its Vitamin D & Me! website. The website originally launched in May of 2021 as a source of information on vitamin D in relationship to COVID-19 and immune health, but the new website will serve as an educational resource about vitamin D’s broader health benefits. Since its original launch, the site has summarized more than 100 studies, clinical trials, and meta-analyses examining the relationship between the vitamin and COVID-19.
“The Vitamin D & Me! site proved to be a vital resource for consumers and dietitians to learn about the important role of vitamin D and immune health over the past few years, including the large amount of research being conducted and published on vitamin D and COVID-19,” said Luke Huber, ND, CRN vice president, scientific and regulatory affairs, in a press release. “With shifting public health priorities, and the growing body of evidence for other vitamin D benefits, this is an opportunity to expand the scope of the site to describe the broad role of vitamin D in health and wellness to consumers and healthcare professionals.”
