ConAgra Foods Inc. (Omaha, NE) has petitioned FDA for a qualified health claim relating to whole grain consumption and a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes. The health claim would be available for whole grains and eligible food products containing whole grains. Among other requirements, ConAgra has proposed that products bearing the claim contain at least 12 grams of whole grains per RACC (Reference Amount Customarily Consumed).

FDA and FTC issue more warning letters to copycat delta-8 THC food products
July 16th 2024The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Federal Trade Commission have jointly issued warning letters to five companies for selling copycat food products containing delta-8 THC in violation of the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act.
