The nibs are sweetened with coconut palm sugar.
After years of development, Cocoa Family (Duarte, CA) is introducing cocoa nibs sweetened with coconut palm sugar.
A fermentation process adds flavor to the nibs, which also benefit from a low-glycemic coconut palm sugar comparable in flavor to brown sugar. Cocoa nibs, according to the company, provide twice the antioxidants of red wine and three times the amount of green tea. The nibs may be suitable for pre-workout, post-workout, and general snack products.
Cocoa Familiar is a supplier of Dominican cocoa ingredients, including powders, butters, liquors, nibs, and whole beans. Products are available fermented and non-fermented.
