Captek Softgel International (Cerritos, CA) is officially producing gummy supplements, according to a recent announcement from the company. Gummy production is performed at the company’s new SQF-certified 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility, which offers turnkey gummy formulations, custom flavorings, and bottling solutions for clients. Captek says the new facility can produce 1.5 billion gummies annually in a wide range of shapes, including gummy bears, gumdrops, and cubes. It also has starch-free production lines for for a variety of gummy types, including pectin, agar, carrageenan, gelatin, and combination-based gummies. With its pilot-scale equipment, Captek can produce samples for evaluation with equipment that closely mirrors production, decreasing time to market for seamless scalability.
