NutriScience Innovations, LLC (Trumbull, CT) has announced that its clinically-studied 1,3-Beta-Glucan ingredient BGF-Immune is now Non-GMO Project Verified. BGF-Immune joins a number of other ingredients in NutriScience’s portfolio to achieve Non-GMO Project Verification, including Suntheanine, Sunfiber, InnovaTea, Sunphenon, SunCran, NuMalic L-Malic Acid, and Matcha Powder.
“Non-GMO Project Verification (NGPV) is becoming more and more important to consumers around the world. Offering non-GMO ingredients allows our customers to create ‘clean’ formulations and helps those looking to obtain NGPV status for their finished products to do so more easily, by reducing some of work for them,” said Ryan Pallathra, director of business development at NutriScience Innovations, in a press release.

New review from BAPP estimates adulteration of five popular botanicals
September 10th 2024The study focused on the adulteration of black cohosh rhizome, echinacea root or herb, elder berry, ginkgo leaf, and turmeric root/rhizome. The authors reviewed 78 publications with a total of 2995 samples. Of the 2995 samples, 818 were reported to be adulterated or mislabeled.
