Alkemist Labs (Garden Grove, CA) announced in a company press release that it will be at Expo West 2024 (Booth #3575) showcasing its expanded services and its new HealthLOQ document protection blockchain software that protects certificates of analysis (CofA) against counterfeiting and unauthorized tampering. Alkemist’s new services include microbiological and residual solvents testing, as well as heavy metals, potency, THC and its analogs, astaxanthin esthers, and even psychedelic quantitation.
These new services, except astaxanthin, are included in Alkemist Lab’s A2LA ISO 17025 scope of accreditation (3851.01), which has been renewed through February 2026. Regarding the HealthLOQ document protection software, Alkemist says that brands, retailers, regulators, and consumers will be able to verify within seconds if a CofA from Alkemist is original and unaltered. This comes after years of warnings from within industry about falsified or deceptive CofAs being circulated. This particularly important with ingredients that are highly in-demand.
