“Over time, exposure to environmental and biological stressors diminishes the levels of lutein in the eyes, leaving them vulnerable to deterioration," said Jeffrey Anshel, MD, president of the Ocular Nutrition Society and a supporter of the campaign. "There is a need to try to offset the effects of this stress in order to maintain healthy vision with good habits such as living a healthy lifestyle and consuming a lutein-rich diet or supplementing with high-quality lutein."
At the show, the company also presented new ideas for eye-health products using unique delivery formats. Its eye-health ingredients include Lutemax free lutein and lutein esters and OmniXan zeaxanthin, derived from paprika.
