Making a health claim based on a clinical study? Here are the biggest dos and don’ts.
Investing in clinical trials is critical for any company seeking to build credibility in the natural products industry. Savvy consumers and product makers are not content to blindly trust a company’s claims about its product benefits; they want to see the evidence. But clinical trials don’t come cheap. So how can nutraceutical companies ensure they get the marketing return on their investment? How can they design clinical trials likely to have the best outcomes with not just consumers but also regulators and marketers? How can they craft health and product claims based on study results? In this webcast, experts in the field will cover all the bases and best practices.
Key Learning Objectives:
Who Should Attend:
Jayesh Chaudhary has been one of the interesting contributors to the health and nutraceutical industry for 20+ years. He is the founder of Enovate Biolife, which develops ingredients (one of which won the NutraIngredients award for USA and Asia in 2019), as well as Vedic Lifesciences, which engages in preclinical and clinical trials for health ingredients and branded dietary supplements. His theory is that “Every claim is a lie until you prove it.” Health claims substantiation is extremely essential for supplementing good body function with a healthy diet in order to govern disorder-associated and lifestyle-associated symptoms. He has leveraged this very component, combining it with India’s low-price factor and India’s supplement-naïve population, and creating a company that delivers top-notch clinical study operations with globally accepted quality standards (ICH-GCP). Chaudhary has been pivotal in taking the Indian clinical contract research organization segment on a global platform, breaking the ceiling of quality- and IP-management misconceptions in India. He has collaborated with several regulatory associations and leading ingredient companies in North America, Europe, and the APAC region for consultations, clinical trials, and knowledge transfer.
