Dehydrated orange peel flavors bring back the flavors lost during cooking and baking.
Flavor Producers (Valencia, CA) is rolling out a new line of flavors based on dehydrated orange peels. The ingenuity of these “Flavor Peelz” is that they can add back flavors that are lost during brewing, baking, or cooking processes. Such high-temperature environments are known for eliminating flavor, and they often require manufacturers to compensate with large amounts of flavors.
The company’s new patent-pending technology can work with certified organic flavors, and finished flavors are available in a 40-mesh size (suited for baked goods, bars, hot cereals, and more) and a 16-mesh size appropriate for tea sachets, ground coffee, frozen desserts, and fruit preparations. Flavors can be customized for desired flavor impact.
