FDA principal deputy commissioner Joshua Sharfstein, MD, plans to return as a keynote speaker at The Conference, the Council for Responsible Nutrition’s (CRN; Washington, DC) annual symposium for the dietary supplement industry. The event will take place September 29 to October 2 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, TX.
Sharfstein will update attendees on FDA’s dietary supplement–related regulatory activities, including the impact of the recently fully implemented dietary supplement current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), as well as the adverse-event reporting (AER) law. Additionally, he will discuss the long-awaited new dietary ingredient (NDI) notification guidance.
