USDA-certified organic probiotics? EFFi Foods and supplier Ganeden Biotech got it done for the new Probiotic CareBar.
Fresh out the gate and joining the still-few probiotic nutrition bars on the market today, EFFi Foods’ new Probiotic CareBar packs quite a punch for immune health and digestion. Each bar provides 1 billion CFUs of Ganeden Biotech’s GanedenBC30 Bacillus coagulans probiotic strain-a hardy strain that withstands the rigors of bar processing as well as the consumer's digestive system. The Probiotic CareBar is USDA-certified organic, gluten free, non-GMO, kosher, and vegan, and is the only nutrition bar on the market today certified by the Cleveland Clinic. As the company tells us, one challenge was finding a probiotic strain with an organic carrier, to fulfill the brand’s mission of a USDA-certified bar. Ganeden Biotech came through with an organic-certified carrier, enabling the brand to obtain its certification. The bar is available in three flavors, including this unique Green Tea & Honey Lemon variety. (Photo: EFFi Foods)
