Polyphenol Ingredient for Sensitive Skin

Cytokalmine is a new ingredient for sensitive skin developed by Alban Muller International (Vincennes, France). It is a dry extract of the Carthaginian berry (Punica granatum), which is concentrated in polyphenols, particularly in tannins (punicalagin) and ellagic derivative, and stabilized in a maltitol carrier.

The company says the ingredient has a twofold effect, both reducing the secretion of inflammatory cytokines and the overproduction of free radicals, thus protecting the skin from the effects of premature aging.
