The Natural Products Association (NPA; Washington, DC) has opened online registration for its 14th annual Natural Products Day on April 6 in Washington, DC. At the event, NPA members and other industry members will have the opportunity to speak with Congress members and their staffs about legislation and regulatory action that may impact the natural products industry.
“Natural Products Day is a great way for retailers, manufacturers, and others in the industry to meet with lawmakers who vote on legislation that may affect their business. We need to educate the new members of Congress so that they understand the issues facing our industry,” says John Gay, NPA’s executive director and CEO.
“About one in five members of Congress will be new to the job,” he adds. “Natural Products Day allows us to share our story with these members, many of whom are being introduced to our industry for the first time.”
The day will begin with a breakfast session led by association and government-relations experts who will advise on effective ways to communicate with legislators and provide updates on pending legislation. A reception will also be held that day.
