Nebraska Cultures Launches Four New Probiotic Blends
The new products are marketed under the name Legacy Blends, which is a part of the company’s custom-blending services for bulk probiotic customers.
Nebraska Cultures (Walnut Creek, CA), the creator of Dr. Shahani’s L. acidophilus probiotic, has introduced four new condition-specific probiotic blends: Pro-Traveler, Healthy-Defense, Kid-Kare, and Digestion-Plus. The new products are marketed under the name Legacy Blends, which is a part of the company’s custom-blending services for bulk probiotic customers.
Pro-Traveler combines the two most popular and researched strains of probiotic bacteria, Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1 and Bifidobacterium bifidum, which are particularly helpful for combating common food-poisoning bacteria.
Healthy-Defense is formulated to help fight yeast, fungal, and viral infections. This blend is made with 50% Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1, 25% Bifidobacterium bifidum, and 25% Enterococcus faecium.
Kid-Kare is designed to help replenish the strains most commonly found in healthy children and infants. The blend is 35% Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1, 35% Bifidobacterium bifidum, 15% Bifidobacterium longum, and 15% Bifidobacterium infantis.
Finally, Digestion-Plus is designed to support a healthy colon by replenishing healthy bacteria, improving digestion and acidifying the colon. It is made with 40% Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1, 30% Lactobacillus salivarius, and 30% Bifidobacterium bifidum.
