“I think the perception of most conventional-channel shoppers is that most natural/organic cosmetic purchases are a luxury they can’t afford right now,” sais Kerry Watson, manager, SPINS product library. “On the other hand, I believe that the perception of many shoppers in the natural channel is that natural/organic cosmetic purchases are a necessity and that the dedicated natural shopper will cut back in other parts of their lives in order to continue to afford these purchases.”
