First Functional Drink for Eye Health
A New York ophthalmologist has created what he calls the first drink for eye health. OJO includes the nutrients of the National Institutes of Health’s Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS)-vitamins C, E, and beta-carotene, and zinc-as well as other eye-health boosters such as lutein, omega-3, B vitamins, and superfruits.

Function-Specific Dog Treats
Dog treats manufacturer Cloud Star has released Dynamo Dog functional treats for specific canine health needs. Fortified with vitamins, minerals, fruits, vegetables, and herbs, Dynamo Dog treats are specially tailored for joint health, digestive health, and skin and coat health. The joint-health formula features glucosamine, hydrochloric acid, chondroitin sulfate, and green-lipped mussel. The digestive health formula features ginger and probiotics, and the skin and coat formula features salmon oil and vitamin E. Each product is grain free and gluten free.

First Organic Goldenberry Powder
Organic superfood brand Navitas Naturals has introduced what it says is the first organic goldenberry powder. The company says dried goldenberries have become a popular superfood and that its new powdered product gives customers a new way to enjoy the ingredient. Goldenberry is a source of key nutrients such as vitamins A and C, beta-carotene, and bioflavonoids. It also contains a lot of protein, dietary fiber, and phytonutrients. The powder can be used in smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt, drinks, and desserts.

Drink Supports Mental Clarity, Focus
Solixir, a line of all natural functional beverages, has launched Think, a drink featuring Ginkgo biloba, gotu kola (Centella asiatica), meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), Bacopa monnieri, and rosemary. The company says the beverage supports mental clarity and focus and contains no added sugar or caffeine.

Cod Liver Oil
A new cod liver oil from whole-food supplement manufacturer Standard Process Inc. is said to be minimally processed to retain cod liver’s naturally occurring profile of vitamins A and D, and omega-3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA as well as CoQ10. The company says it spent years searching for a top supplier for this natural, pure oil.

Pour Powder in Water
Vitamin Squeeze is described as “the first-of-its kind squeezable powder formula” that consumers can pour into drinking water. The powder is packed with such nutrients as vitamins C, B3, B5, B6, B12, and D; electrolytes; zinc; and chromium. Eight flavors are offered, including three Energy varieties that provide 60 mg of caffeine per serving and a Weight Control variety that features Svetol green coffee bean extract.
