Coconut Water Powder
Superfoods retailer Navitas Naturals is now selling organic coconut water powder for on-the-go hydration. Procured from the juices of young, organic coconuts, coconut water powder is freeze-dried to maintain flavor and natural sources of electrolytes (sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and phosphorus). One serving of the powder provides more potassium than a banana, according to Navitas Naturals. Among LactoSpore’s benefits is its hardiness to withstand the acidic environment of the stomach so that it can germinate and proliferate in the gastrointestinal tract within a few hours. The ingredient is stable at room temperature, requiring no refrigeration. The company says LactoSpore powder is standardized to contain 15 billion spores per gram. LactoSpore powder can also be supplied with lower spore counts. The bread is sold by Perman, a Colombian bread products producer.
