LactoSpore Probiotic in Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt
Sabinsa's friendly bacterium is stable at room temperature.
Sabinsa Corp. (East Windsor, NJ) reports that its
LactoSpore is a strain of Bacillus coagulans, formerly known as Lactobacillus sporogenes. The GRAS-affirmed friendly bacterium can withstand the stomach environment before proliferating in the gastrointestinal tract. LactoSpore does not require refrigeration and can maintain viable counts throughout manufacturing, shipping, and storage.
“Even as probiotics gain unprecedented consumer acceptance, mainstream media coverage highlights confusion as to which forms are most beneficial, which is where LactoSpore’s established efficacy becomes particularly compelling,” says Sabinsa marketing director Shaheen Majeed. “We are very pleased to have LactoSpore included in such a popular product as Tutti Frutti.”
