Herbamed Ltd. (Weizmann Technology Park, Israel) has appointed New Products Plus (NPP; Salt Lake City, UT) its exclusive Western U.S. agent for its Ultrasome coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10).
The company says that Ultrasome’s patented formulation greatly improves the bioavailability of the CoQ10 by combining ubiquinone with a dual layer of phospholipids to create a small droplet. This liposome protects the CoQ10 and delivers it more effectively to the gastrointestinal tract, where it is absorbed. The company says that the ingredient’s bioavailability has been tested in four clinical trials.
