Green Seal Rolls Out Eco Seal for Personal Care and Cosmetic Products

Green Seal Inc. (Washington, DC) says that its GS-50 seal is the first green certification seal to cover a comprehensive package of environmental standards in personal care and cosmetic products.

Products bearing the seal must meet standards in product performance, health and environmental safety, social responsibility, packaging, and labeling. In addition, uses of label claims such as “natural” and “organic” must be accompanied by definitions on products bearing the new green seal.
