Friend of the Sea Certifies Salmon Oil and Protein Supplier

Hofseth BioCare (Asker, Norway) now markets Friend of the Sea––certified fish oils and proteins. Among other requirements, the certification ensures that all fish materials were caught without bycatch of endangered species and without impacting the seabed.

Hofseth’s non-GMO fish oils and proteins are derived from salmon trimmings the company says would otherwise be discarded during fish product manufacturing. Hofseth also has tracking procedures in place to allow for tracking and tracing of each batch of trimmings.
