Dr. Tieraona Low Dog, scientific advisor to Dr. Andrew Weil, will give a presentation based on her latest book, Life Is Your Best Medicine (National Geographic, August 2012), at the upcoming September Natural Products Expo East trade show at the Baltimore Convention Center. Dr. Low Dog’s seminar is sponsored by MegaFood, a whole-food dietary supplements brand.
In addition to her extensive experience as a natural medicine clinician and educator, Dr. Low Dog has been involved in national health policy and regulatory issues for more than a decade. President Bill Clinton appointed Dr. Low Dog to the White House Commission of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2000, and then to the Scientific Advisory Board for the National Institutes of Health National Center of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Currently, Dr. Low Dog serves as the chief medical officer for Weil Lifestyle and is the fellowship director for the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, founded by Dr. Andrew Weil.
