The enzymes specialist has filled two critical personnel positions: product manager and product development formulator.
Deerland Enzymes (Kennesaw, GA), a formulator and contract manufacturer of enzyme-based dietary supplements, has filled two critical personnel positions and announced several promotions.
Gary Winfield has been named product manager, with 30 years of experience in business management and product marketing. He has a degree in chemical engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA from Western New England College. Prior to joining Deerland Enzymes, Winfield led the powders and additives business for CYTEC Inc.
Blake Hall has been hired as product development formulator, responsible for new product development and custom formulations. Hall is currently in his final research semester and is on track to graduate with honors with a master’s degree in food technology from the University of Georgia. Deerland Enzymes says Hall has experience formulating a wide variety of products and served as a member of a developmental group for a 2010 Flavors of Georgia Product of the Year, a competition sponsored by the University of Georgia to create food products based on Georgia-derived ingredients.
Among the promotions announced, former demand planner Jeremy Sciranko has been promoted to purchasing manager, and Shakira Phillips has been promoted from inventory cost analyst to materials manager.
