Danisco is now marketing its Howaru Balance line of probiotic supplements to target four age groups: adults (ages 18 to 55), children, and older adults/seniors. The supplements bring digestive- and immune-health benefits by combining two probiotic strains: Bifidobacterium lactis HN019 and Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM.
Howaru Balance Kids is specifically formulated to boost the immune systems of children, ranging from toddlers to teens. Howaru Balance is designed to meet the needs of adults ages 18 to 55 by strengthening their defenses against daily stresses. Howaru Balance Plus targets older adults and seniors who are at a stage in life when colonic transit times and the gut's beneficial Bifidobacterium population start to decline. The formula includes Litesse, a prebiotic dietary fiber.
