CreAgri Gets Patent for Hydroxytyrosol

CreAgri Inc. (Hayward, CA), a supplier of polyphenols from organic olives, has been granted a U.S. patent for the manufacture of hydroxytyrosol from olive juice. The broad patent covers methods of hydroxytyrosol production, isolation, and formulation. The company says that its Integrale manufacturing process generates up to 300 times the polyphenols of even the best extra virgin olive oil. The company uses this patented method to create Hidrox, the active ingredient in its Olivenol supplements.
