Chr. Hansen Collaborates on Probiotics Research

Chr. Hansen (Hoersholm, Denmark) is embarking on a four-year research partnership on probiotics with TI Food and Nutrition, a Holland-base consortium of universities, food and nutrition companies, and private research organizations.

The partnership will begin in January 2011 and extend through 2015. The companies will examine the role of probiotics in digestive health.

“This partnership will not enable us to offer new, scientifically documented probiotic solutions right away,” said Benedicte Flambard, head of research and development for Chr.
